Introducing 2sxc 8.6 with JS-API, Shake, Improved Toolbar and WYSIWG

2sxc 8.6 brings large improvements on the in-page toolbar and the APIs to customize it as you need it. Create custom toolbars, change alignments, create custom buttons or create action-links without the toolbar. Here's how:

Shake to Edit

Click here to read about shake-to-edit.

Customizing The Toolbar

You can now create any combination of

  1. Custom button groups with "..." (more) rotating between groups
  2. Buttons calling standard actions (like edit) with customized icon, label etc.

Read more about it in the 2sxc wiki.

Customizing the Look and Feel

Toolbars can now be customized in terms of

  1. hovering right/left/none
  2. place the (more) "..." buttons to the left/right
  3. always show (even if not hovering)

Read more about it in the blog and in the 2sxc wiki.

Running CMS Commands Without the Toolbar

This is documented in this blog post.
