27 new Responsive Bootstrap 3 Content Design Templates

We just released a brand new set of content templates, optimized for DNN Bootstrap 3 themes (skins). Now, both layout and content will look great!

We invested 4 weeks work into this new content-package and it's great both to just get sites up and running in minutes, but also as a starter-kit for further customizations.

What's in the package

  1. Four (7) well planned and labeled content types
  2. Twentyseven (27) well designed Bootstrap 3 templates to visualize this as needed, all of them documented and screen-shot in its own wiki
  3. Best practices implementation with Bootstrap 3, SASS, Razor, sub-templates, Gulp, and more - great for learning and for building upon
  4. Full  versioned source code on GitHub and a wiki with technical documentation
  5. Everything is in English and German, easy to customize to your language. If you do localize it, we would appreciate a copy so we can include it in future distributions.

Peek into the brand new designed parts

27 templates show the content types. And each edit dialog is configured to be optimal for each situation, and has notes, hints and explanations. Various helpers like GPS-Pickers or automatic icon generation based on link type make life very easy.

Installation Instructions

The installation is fully automatic, because the bootstrap-templates are now the recommended package on every new portal. So from now on whenever you create a new portal with dnn/2sxc, you'll be presented with this choice:

In case you already configured the content and want to install it manually, you can just download the latest release from github and install it manually.

Help make it better

This is a community effort and we're happy to have made the initial move. Now we need your help - here's how you can contribute:

  1. help translate the content-type names, field-names, instruction etc. into other languages, so we can add that to the default installation
  2. help create similar starting packages for other frameworks - like foundatio, ionic etc.
  3. spread the work - make websites sexy ;)
