Discover TinyMCE 5 WYSIWYG in 2sxc 10.06

We're continually renewing important bits of technology, incl. the latest WYSIWYG editor from TinyMCE.

Best-Of WYSIWYG

TinyMCE is probably the best wysiwyg-editor on the market, and 2sxc has been using version 4.x since 2012. Now that V5 is out and has proven itself, we're proud to be one of the first CMS to leverage it.

What's New in 2sxc with TinyMCE V5

Better Mobile Editing

Mobile editing was always possible, but with V5 we the toolbars auto-collapse when space is tight, allowing for a professional mobile editing experience.

Nicer, more consistent UI

The UI has been updated. It's still very similar to before, but many issues that we felt were not sexy enough have been fixed.

Default Full-Screen Editing Experience

2sxc now only shows a short preview of WYSIWYG content, and opens a full-screen wysiwyg editor for a much smother editing experience. This also allows input forms to be much shorter even if they have many WYSIWYG fields. This is especially great for things like blogs, which have very long wysiwyg-content and many additoinal fields.

Optional Compact Mode

The default WYSIWYG will now always be in a dialog, but in some cases (like if you only have a title and a body) it may feel unnecessary. So this is now configurable:

Optional Buttons: Source and Advanced

Up until now the wysiwyg was not configurable. Now that we adopted the new generation of WYISWYG we're confident that features will stay the same for a long time, and we're now introducing the first two configurations: Enabled Source-Button and Enable-Advanced button. This lets you override the default if you really want to, but will always default to our recommendations if not configured.

Enhanced Paste-Formatted Content

This was improved in TinyMCE 5

Enhanced Paste-Image from Clipboard

For users who have the beta paste-image from clipboard feature enabled, the experience is now much better. Previously users randomly saw various messages, which are all gone now :)
