We got the first Oqtane-CMS based website in the world to be listed in Google!
Why is this a big Deal?
Oqtane uses the new .net core 6 Blazor technology and behaves like a SPA.
As such, the page itself is empty in the eyes of Google!
This is because the page itself should run a bunch of JavaScript or WebAssembly magic to then load the page after the initial visit.
Oqtane.me is now Fully Indexed
As of end of January 2022 the website oqtane.me is fully indexed by google. It's not a lot - just one page, but shows what can be done with 2sxc.
Since it's a developer website, it didn't get much SEO love, so to see it in action, you'll actually have to google a very specific text on the page, like Start Creating Oqtane Websites.
How did we get the Oqtane Website into Google?
It's all down to 2sxc 13.02 optimizations which enhance the Razor rendering to be fully available for Google.
So if you want to do this as well...
- Wait for the release of 2sxc 13.02
- Install the latest Oqtane 3.02 or newer
- Install 2sxc 13.02
- Create some content
- Register with Google using the normal mechanisms
